Harlem Arts Alliance presents "The NYC Children's Festival" - 2 days

Location: West 135th Street – between Malcolm X & A.C. Powell Jr. Boulevard
Admission: Free
Over 10,000 children between ages 5 to
12 years of age and their family members attend to enjoy storytelling,
children’s entertainment (daily performances showcasing tap dancers,
dance troupes, step shows, hip hop, theater, poetry, vocalists, etc.),
arts & crafts, double dutch competitions, face painting, technology
information, information on health services, super heroes (from cartoons
& comic books and children’s programs, etc.), dance lessons and

"Summer in the City”
Saturday, August 18
Over 60,000 attendees will enjoy an outdoor R&B, Rock and Hip Hop
concert, featuring regional dance events, College "Step Show”
Competitions and an outdoor film festival. There will also be
exhibitors and vendors providing delicious foods, creative arts &

"HARLEM DAY”
Sunday, August 19
Over 90,000 attendees will enjoy four outdoor stages of live
entertainment, featuring "The International Roots of Jazz”: Reggae,
Latin, Soca, Gospel, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, Blues and Calypso. There
will also be exhibitors and vendors providing delicious foods, creative
