Celebrating the 65th B’day of Sekou Sundiata, one of Harlem’s most prolific native sons, OH, HARLEM is curated & directed by Craig Harris, with Quincy Troupe, Tracie Morris, Liza Jessie Peterson, Bob Holman, Ted Wilson, Douglas Booth, Marc Cary, Michael Hill, Marvin Sewell and others. The POEMobile will project poems on to the surrounding walls performed by the youth poets of Urban Word. This event celebrates the 65th birthday of one of Harlem’s most prolific native sons through offerings by  poets and musicians curated and directed by Craig Harris and featuring Quincy Troupe, Tracie Morris, Liza Jessie Peterson, Bob Holman, Ted Wilson, Douglas Booth, Marc Cary, Michael Hill, Marvin Sewell and others. The  POEMobile, the poem-bedecked art truck, will project Sekou and Sekou-inspired poems on to the surrounding walls, performed by the youth poets of Urban Word: Kearah Armonie,  Andrea Zamparini,  Brandon Morales, Kristina Gramalich, Marly  Medard,  Gabriel Ramirez,  Khadijah  Johnson, Kadesha  Barnes, Zipporah Gatling, and Jared  Green.  Additional performances include West-African drumming and dances by Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy with special guest Abiodun Oyewole,  poet, teacher and founding member of the American music and spoken-word group The Last Poets.
