 I Got The Last Laugh is a dramatic/comedy with music. I Got The Last Laugh !(Inspired By the Life and Times of Jackie MOMS Mabley) By Juneen Bowers, James E.Carter and Catrina Ruffin ©2013 was conceived by James E.Carter when Charles Earthstein who works at the Chicago News and M&M Publications Books went to Harlem at The World Famous Apollo Theatre to interview the one and only Jackie "Moms” Mabley.

We see/hear her life, present, past performances through the telling of her life stories 1894 till her death in 1975.This autobiographical drama/comedy unfolds.  Through her performance, she shares her hopes, dreams, betrayals, despairs, fame and most importantly, her struggles to be America #1 funny comedian.  Directed by Mikell Pinkney with Audelco Awards winning team: Patrice Andrew Davidson (Set Designer),Carolyn Adams (Costume & Wig Designer) and James Prez Carter (Lights and Sound Designer) and Tony Nomination, Drama Desk Nomination, the 1993 Outer Critics Circle Award Awarded and Emmy Award Ted Louis Levy (Movement), I GOT THE LAST LAUGH!(Inspired By the Life and Times of Jackie "MOMS” Mabley) Opens at the T.B.G.Theatre (312 West 36th Street 3rd floor between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Friday September 6th and plays through Sunday September 29th 2013.
