The history of Harlem remains intertwined with that of its immigrant residents who continue to make their contribution to various aspects of American culture including visual art, sports, culinary arts, literature, and academia. It has been an inspiration to countless generations across the Diasporas. Curated by Anderson M. Pilgrim, "Caribbean Diasporas: Harlem Migration and Identity" seeks to explore the influence of Caribbean artists on contemporary art and the interconnection between their Caribbean heritage and Harlem identity and experience.
