The world famous Apollo Theater will open its doors to the public in celebration of Black History Month with a FREE weekend of events. Open House Weekend 2013 features a Family Instrument Making Workshop, film screenings, self-guided historical tours, information from Harlem Community organizations, performances by the National Black Theatre and cast members from Motown: The Musical, and sneak previews of the Apollo's 2013 season. Patrons will also get to:

• Meet Apollo Legends Maurice Hines and Leslie Uggams.
  
• Learn more about the Apollo's storied history.
• Visit exhibitor tables staffed by the Apollo's community partners.
• Enjoy Billy Mitchell, the Apollo Theater Ambassador, as the weekend's Master of Ceremonies.
