Our mission is to bring together people of African descent, in celebrating their heritage and showcasing the beauty, intensity and diversity of Africa and its people. African Day Parade & Festival brings together Africans and non-Africans to showcase and celebrate the beauty, richness, diversity, and contributions.

The Seventh Annual African Day Parade and Festival will be held on Sunday September 22nd, 2013. The parade and festival honors the accomplishment of Africans across the globe, while forging new partnerships in the African Diaspora.

The event themed "Our Communities. Our progress. Our Unity” will be in commemoration of the African Union’s 50th anniversary celebrating the continent of Africa and people of African descent.

This years parade and festival will also commemorate the great African leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah and Patrice Lumumba
